Accessibility Statement.

Pro Build is committed to making this website usable by every Massachusetts homeowner — including those using assistive technology. We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA across pages, forms, navigation, and interactive elements.

This site is built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Keyboard navigation, screen reader support, color contrast minimums, and focus management are tested in production. If you encounter any barrier using this site, email hello@probuildhomeservices.com with the page URL and a description — we resolve accessibility issues within 5 business days.

Accessibility Standards Followed

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines from W3C.
  • Section 508 alignment — federal accessibility requirements for U.S. websites.
  • Massachusetts AAB regulations — Massachusetts Architectural Access Board rules where applicable to physical-service touchpoints.

Site Accessibility Features

  • Skip-to-content link on every page (first focusable element).
  • Semantic HTML5 — proper heading hierarchy, landmarks (header, nav, main, footer, aside), button vs link semantics.
  • Keyboard navigation — every interactive element reachable and operable via keyboard.
  • Visible focus rings on all focusable elements.
  • ARIA labels on forms, modals, and interactive widgets.
  • Color contrast — text vs background ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text.
  • Form errors announced to screen readers via aria-live regions.
  • Modal dialogs use native <dialog> with backdrop dismiss, ESC to close, and focus trap.
  • Images have meaningful alt text; decorative imagery uses empty alt and aria-hidden.
  • Forms use real <label> elements (visually hidden when needed) and 16px+ font size on mobile to prevent zoom.

Known Issues

The embedded Google Maps iframe on the contact page is third-party and may not be fully WCAG-compliant. We provide a text-based address and a "Get Directions" link as an accessible alternative for users who cannot interact with the map iframe.

Reporting an Accessibility Barrier

If you encounter content or functionality that is not accessible, please email hello@probuildhomeservices.com with:

  1. The page URL where you encountered the issue.
  2. A description of the barrier — what you tried to do, what happened, what assistive technology you were using (if any).
  3. Your preferred method of follow-up (email, phone, written letter).

We respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days. We will work with you to provide the information or service you needed via an accessible alternative while we fix the underlying barrier.

Ongoing Testing

This site is tested against WCAG 2.2 AA on every major release using a combination of automated tools (axe DevTools, Lighthouse) and manual testing with screen readers (NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS/iOS) and keyboard-only navigation. Real-user feedback drives the highest-priority fixes.
